Vaishali Dhanda has become an inspiration to many, rising to a successful model, proving that the age is just a number. She was a middle-aged woman who used to struggle with everyday chores like most other woman of the age group. She realised that her lowest point was in 2019, when she wasn’t able to walk 1 Km without experiencing pain in her back and legs.
Vaishali Dhanda is a 44-year-old old model and a jewellery designer based in Chennai. It was in 2020, when she decided to change her lifestyle for good. She decided so because she felt that her overweight was getting in the way of her day-to-day activities and it was impeding her from leading a regular and confident life. She shared that she wasn’t able to enjoy her life with her daughter and usually had no energy left to do anything playful. As she had a proper reason to change her life for good, she strived and struggled for a healthier life and lost a whopping 15 kilos in just 8 months, in a very healthy way.
She started her life with walks and got to running 5 Kms and it was quite a journey for her, with spectacular effects for her health, skin and hair. As her lifestyle got healthier, she started to regain confidence and with this newly found confidence after a long time, she decided to participate in beauty pageants. She participated in Mrs. India and won (3rd Runner Up). She even got shortlisted and selected for Mrs. Universe. She is now an active model and does collaborations with renowned brands.
Vaishali Dhanda started her journey partially after the birth of her daughter in 2012. Her interest to preserve unique jewellery for her daughter led her to educate herself in the jewellery designing with GIA certified course and design the unique footprint and finger-print rings for moms to adore their babies’ infant years forever. This opportunity was also the birth of her business under the brand name, www.niroshashop.com . It is now a successful brand and delivers precious jewels all over the world.
She shares that she has no restrictions in terms of food she consumes. She also keeps a check on portions and doesn’t over eat. “Understand that food is a fuel and know how much your body requires,” she explains. “Enjoy your workouts, keep changing it if you get bored with the routine. I love adding new music to my runs which lets me enjoy them,” she shares. “I have included exercise as a non-negotiable part of my day and I focus on healthy sustainable meals without starving myself,” she reveals her mantra. “Make sure that you change not only for a few months but for a lifetime. Weight loss is such an empowering journey if done correctly and when you are willing to make changes. Sky’s the limit once you start to get fit,” she shared her belief.
It is empowering to see a human believing in oneself and climbing the growth ladder in their lives. I hope that her journey be a beacon of light to all those who wish to embark on a self-discovery journey and accomplish what they set out to.
