On Wednesday, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said he would definitely join the Bharat Jodo Yatra because it is free of tukde-tukde gang members, cow-slaughterers, and those who question Lord Ram’s existence. Poonawalla’s tweet came after Congress’ Acharya Pramod extended him an invitation to the Bharat Jodo after the BJP spokesperson wished him a happy birthday.
On Wednesday, Acharya Pramod responded to Shehzad Poonawalla’s birthday wish on Twitter by writing, “Come to Bharat Jodo Yatra someday.”
“Swami ji, the day your Yatra is free of those who want India to be divided, supporters of Afzal Guru, those who compare Hindutva to ISIS, those who slaughter cows, question the existence of Shri Ram, and advocate for the reinstatement of Article 370,” the BJP spokesperson said.
Acharya Pramod asked Shehzad if he had a television debate today, to which the BJP leader replied, “Yes because you are an Indian and not a Congressman, I made the suggestion. I will be the first to join this yatra as soon as the country is free of the gang of opponents “Shehzad Poonawalla stated.
After an eight-day break, the Bharat Jodo Yatra has returned to Uttar Pradesh. Former R&AW chief AS Dulat and Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi joined the yatra on Tuesday. After arriving in Jammu and Kashmir on January 20, the yatra is scheduled to end on January 30.
